Trunking Repeater Service
BK Two-Way Radio is the only communications company in Prince George with an 800 MHz trunking system. This system is similar to a standard repeater system but gives more flexibility to the user allowing it to be customized to your needs.

Advantages of our existing 800mhz trunked repeater system currently in place on Tabor Mountain:

   • No cost for mountain top infrastructure, annual site rental fees, government fees and licensing.
   • Superior site quality and maintenance. B.K Two-Way houses its repeaters in a large heated and air-conditioned site, which has    both, backup generator as well as backup batteries in case of power outage. Our equipment is serviced on a regular basis insuring uninterrupted service.
   • Well-maintained and installed antennas. All the antennas on our site are multicoupled giving the advantage of fewer antennas meaning less interference as well as good location on the tower giving maximum coverage.
   • Trunked capabilities. Giving you the flexibility to have your system setup the way you need it and the option of changing parameters as needed.
   • More security. Being the only 800mhz trunked system in this area would mean less chance of interference from an outside source.

Benefits of Trunking:
   • improved system access
   • communications privacy
   • user priority levels for system access
   • more efficient utilization of your frequency resources
   • flexibility is assigning multiple talk groups/workgroups
   • enhanced dispatching capabilities
   • better system management
   • deadbeat disable
   • multiple repeaters on one system allowing many users at once

Trunking allows plenty of flexibility like multiple work groups talking at once or grouping mobile units so information can be kept within that particular group.

Conventional Repeater Service

We also specialize in design and installation of powered and Remote Mountain top Repeater sites

A repeater is located on a high point in the line of sight service area. It receives the weaker signal from your handheld or mobile radio and re-broadcasts it into the other radios on your system. This allows you to reach areas normally out of range (including Hart Highway and College Heights) from the bowl area. We currently own mountaintop sites on Tabor, Cranbrook, and Milburm and Sinkut Mountain.

Mountain Top Equipment Space is available for rent on both systems, as well as Repeater Access for rent. Give our team a call to discuss your requirements.
